Use these guidelines to help us review your artwork faster and reduce delays. If you’re not sure whether your files will work, send us what you have and we’ll help you figure out the best next step.
Start with the best file you have
The best artwork files are vector files such as AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG. These files usually scale better for signs, banners, decals, and large-format graphics.
If you do not have a vector file, send the highest-resolution file available. We can review it and let you know whether it will work well for your project.

Resolution matters
Low-resolution images may look blurry or pixelated when enlarged.
For printed graphics, photos and raster images should generally be:
- 300 dpi at final print size for smaller items
- high enough resolution to stay sharp at the size you need
A small web image or screenshot is usually not good enough for a large sign, banner, or wrap.
Vector artwork is best for logos and lettering
Logos, line art, and text work best as vector artwork. This helps keep edges clean and sharp when scaling up for signs, decals, and vehicle graphics.
If your logo only exists as a small JPG or PNG, we may need to recreate it before production.
Fonts and linked images
When sending design files, please:
- convert fonts to outlines when possible
- include linked images if they are not embedded
- include all supporting files if your document depends on them
This helps avoid missing-font and missing-image problems.
Color notes
Colors can look different from screen to print. Monitors, phones, printers, materials, and lighting all affect how color appears.
If color is especially important, let us know before production so we can discuss the best approach.
Common file issues that can delay a project
- low-resolution artwork
- screenshots copied from websites or social media
- logos pulled from business cards or letterhead
- missing fonts
- missing linked images
- artwork not sized correctly
- hard-to-read text that is too small for the finished sign
